According to Teslarati news, Musk told a Model 3 owner in 2020 that the emergency call feature would be added to future vehicles. Since then, this feature has been tested many times and is constantly requested by users, especially in online forums.
The company will now also provide an emergency call center call feature that is automatically triggered when airbags explode in cars. According to Miami University researchers, this feature has been offered in affordable vehicles for 23 years.
According to an announcement made to the X, other prominent updates include a multi-stop journey planner, blind spot indicators and live on-duty cameras. The company noted that if your car has an exterior speaker feature, you can update your horn lock sound to a screaming goat.
The list of all features that come with the software update is as follows:
- LAN Party: You will also be able to play your favorite games on the rear touch screen.
- Rear Screen Bluetooth Headphones: Rear passengers will now be able to use wireless Bluetooth headsets while watching shows or playing games on the rear screen.
- Apple Podcast support: You will be able to listen to millions of the world’s most popular podcasts through Tesla software.
- Tesla App Trip Planner: You’ll be able to use the Tesla mobile app to plan a multi-stop trip and send it to your vehicle.
- Speed Cameras on Route: Navigation will now include speed cameras, stop signs and traffic lights.
- Automatic 911 Calls: If the airbags are triggered in an accident, your vehicle will automatically call 911.
- Blind Spot Indicators: The blind spot camera will alert you with a red shade when your turn signal is on and a car is detected in your blind spot.
- More Live On-Call Cameras: When viewing the vehicle surroundings from the Tesla app, you will now have access to the left and right column cameras for a total of 7 angles.
- Light Show: Enjoy the spectacular new Light Show called ‘The Arrival’.
- Castle Doombad: Castle Doombad is now available on Tesla Arcade; There are also updates for Beach Buggy, Polytopia and Vampire Survivors.
