As you know, One UI 6.0, recently introduced by Samsung, has introduced many innovations specifically for Galaxy devices. So much so that these included UltraHDR support, important sharing menu changes and many more customization options. Now, while the distribution of this version is continuing, some screenshots of One UI 6.1 have leaked to the internet. The new update comes with a brand new feature that will delight users!

For those who missed it, it is said that the main focus of the One UI 6.1 update will be artificial intelligence. So much so that it was stated that it could introduce many AI-supported features and a new digital voice assistant that is more capable than Bixby. But apparently the innovations are not limited to these.

According to the leaked images, one of the features that will be available with One UI 6.1 will be the battery protection feature, which basically allows your phone to charge more accurately. We should point out that the battery protection feature is already available in the One UI interface. However, users will now be offered much more options.

According to the image above, One UI 6.1 comes with three different battery protection options. These will appear as “Simple”, “Adaptable” and “Maximum”. The first will stop charging if the battery reaches 100 percent and allow it to charge again when it reaches 95 percent. The second, Adaptive option, aims to slow down the charging processor from 85% and reach 100% before you wake up.

In the third option in One UI 6.1, the charging process will suddenly be interrupted at 80% and the battery capacity will be limited to this. Thus, the aim is to keep battery cells efficient for longer periods of time. There is no timeline for when the One UI 6.1 update will be released. However, after the Galaxy S24 series, it will likely be available for all eligible Galaxy smartphones and tablets. Therefore, we think it will be available in January.
