Tesla, the giant of the electric car industry, has been switching to different markets recently. The company, which has made investments in new countries and started to have official representatives in different markets, is now preparing to produce more affordable models.
Interviewed by Sandy Murro, Elon Musk said, “We are working on an electric car that is low-cost and can be produced in high quantities.” said. This model is often described as “Model 2” by industry analysts.
Tesla is preparing to release a cheap model
Continuing his statements on the subject, Musk said, “The revolution we will bring to production with this car will blow our minds. It is unlike a car production line that anyone has seen before.” he said. Stating that production technologies will be much more advanced than any automobile production facility in the world, Musk said that production will be carried out in Tesla’s facilities in Austin, Texas. Afterwards, production will continue in the factory in Mexico. Additional buildings will be built for this production facility.
According to Munro, a cheap Tesla could cause serious damage to rival companies in the competition in the market. While Munro said that if Tesla produced such a vehicle, it would sell cars every minute and put its competitors in a difficult situation, he underlined that the new model could be a public car that everyone can afford, like the Volkswagen Beetle.
Editor’s note: If an example of a model that brought cars with internal combustion engines to fame and changed the production logic in the automobile industry could be given, this model could be the Ford Model T, not the VW Beetle. An affordable and revolutionary electric model could enable the generally anticipated transition to electric cars.
