Swedish based 10 Chambers game company has been working on a 4-player hardcore co-op/FPS type game since 2015. GTFO, developed on Unity and aiming to offer a brand new experience to players, finally came to light.
PAYDAY: The new game of the company, which made its name with The Heist and PAYDAY 2 and was founded by the leading names of the industry, was announced for the first time at The Game Awards 2017 and was later released as an Early Access Game in 2019. 10 Chambers has garnered attention by surprisingly revealing Version 1.0 with a trailer that was broadcast live during The Game Awards 2021 today. Described as “Left 4 Dead meets Aliens”, the game attracted great attention due to its difficulty level, serious collaboration and communication within the team.
The story of the game
In the trailer, four prisoners held captive by a mysterious entity called the Warden secretly make their way through a massive underground compound, illuminating the darkness with flashlights. The monsters react to light and movement, and as soon as they wake up, a nightmarish struggle begins for the four prisoners. With its high level of difficulty, the game specifically targets the players who love the challenge. Resources are limited, especially ammunition. That’s why, in the promotional film, not the voice of an excited and confident person; On the contrary, we hear the voice of a person who is worried, afraid and just wants to escape from where he is as soon as possible.

Creative Director Ulf Andersson said: “Developed since 2015 and in Early Access since 2019, GTFO’s Version 1.0 is now available. Over the past year we’ve added new features to the game and further enhanced everything we’ve delivered in the game so far. ,” he explained, “We also worked hard to meet new players and also challenge experienced players who know the game. Thanks to our updated expeditions and new friends bots, I believe you will find GTFO a challenging but fun gaming experience. During early access If you’ve played GTFO, you should see the big change in the quality of the game and how the improvements made make the extremely difficult processes even more fun.”
Version 1.0 comes with an extensive list of updates; Player bots, customizable characters, checkpoints, improved matchmaking and animation system, render updates, and much more are included in this version. GTFO uses a unique content delivery system called “The Rundown”, where it is regularly updated with new content (like maps, scenarios, enemies), replacing the old experience that could never be played again. Thus, 10 Chambers will continue to offer new challenges to the player community, with a game that is always improving. During the Early Access period, they delivered seven different sizes of content, and this system will continue in GTFO Version 1.0.
