Ryzen 7 5700X3D coming soon
AMD’s upcoming Ryzen 7 5700X3D processor will be an 8-core, 16-thread CPU with 96MB of X3D cache. A base clock of 3.0GHz and boost clock speeds up to 4.1GHz are expected. This means it is 400MHz slower compared to the Ryzen 7 5800X3D. AMD is probably using slightly slimmed-down 5800X3D chips to make the 5700X3D.
On the other hand, there is no new information about Ryzen 5 5500X3D (3.0GHz-4.0GHz). The processor is expected to offer a more affordable X3D option with a 6-core and 12-thread configuration. The company may also launch Ryzen 8000 APUs in a similar time frame. These will target AM5 chips. On the other hand, AMD’s latest moves are quite exciting for AM4 users. For those who have an older AM4 motherboard but do not want to join the AM5 and DDR5 upgrade trend, AMD’s new X3D options may last their current systems for a few more years.
