Google has introduced many important improvements in the software update that increases the functionality of the Messages application. Reaching more than 1 billion monthly active users, Google Messages offers voice moods, PhotoMoji and much more with the new update.

What’s new in Google Messages

Google Messages users can now display a variety of emotions through Voice Moods, which add emoticons to voice replies.

PhotoMoji adds creativity to messaging by allowing users to transform their preferred photos into dynamic reactions using Google AI on the phone.

Screen Effects make messages more interesting with lively animations.

Custom Bubbles allow users to change the conversation background and colors.

The Animated Emoji feature enhances the visual appeal of text-based communications by adding a range of visual effects to each message. Users can now change the profile picture and name linked to their phone number.

Beta users will start using the new features coming to Google Messages starting today.
