The owner of the crypto exchange Tomya, which sponsors the Hull City club owned by Acun Ilıcalı, was arrested.

According to the news by Halktv.com.tr, the owner of Tomya, which is owned by Acun Ilıcalı and sponsors the football club Hull City operating in England, was arrested.

According to the details in the news, 11 of the 25 people detained in the operation last week were arrested. Among those arrested were Yavuz Usta, the owner of Tomya, and economist Ece Pulaş, the former consultant of the stock exchange.

Operation on crypto exchange

According to a report by Halktv.com.tr, an operation was carried out against the crypto exchange Tomya, which also sponsors Hull City, owned by Acun Ilıcalı. In the operation carried out on fraud charges, 11 people, including the owner of the stock exchange and his consultant, were arrested.

Dinçer Gökçe from Halktv.com.tr, the main source of the news, stated that an investigation is being carried out by the Büyükçekmece Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office regarding the cryptocurrency exchange Tomya.

Following an investigation carried out through technical and physical surveillance for five months, the operation was carried out on November 24. In addition to the Istanbul-based investigation, simultaneous detentions were made in 8 provinces. 25 of the 35 people on the list within the scope of the Tomya fraud were detained. Among the detained persons, the owner of the stock exchange, Yavuz Usta, and the former advisor of the stock exchange, economist Ece Pulaş, were arrested.
