YouTube published the copyright transparency report. While the published report sheds more light on the copyright issues faced by users, the recently misplaced copyright claims have thus emerged.
More than 99 percent of all copyright claims between January and June were uncovered through Content ID, which automatically monitors YouTube for potential copyright issues. Only 0.5 percent of them caused controversy, while other copyright claims were submitted via created web forms and the Copyright Match tool. In the report it published, YouTube says that the probability of manually making claims to be challenged is 2 times more than those made with Content ID, while also stating that more than 722.7 million copyright claims were made in total.
