YouTube continues to do its best to attract more subscribers to its Premium service and entertain its paid users. The platform, owned by Google, now offers mini games to Premium users after launching ad-free streaming. The new feature called ‘Playables’ (Ready Games) coming to the platform brings gaming features to the video streaming experience.
Google first introduced the Playables feature in September and it has been in an experimental phase since then. However, it is now available to YouTube Premium users. This new feature gives Premium users access to a collection of online games that can be played directly on the mobile or desktop app. Premium users have the opportunity to access 37 mini games integrated into YouTube without the need for additional downloads or installations.
It is said that YouTube has informed its users about the new Playables feature. According to a report by Droid Life, many YouTube Premium users received a notification about Playables last week. Once users select this feature, they gain access to a collection of mini games that can be played within the platform. The news states that the games offered through Playables are not overly complex or niche; It appears to include popular games such as Angry Birds Showdown, Brain Out, Daily Solitaire, The Daily Crossword, and various arcade games.
However, the availability of these games may be limited. YouTube Premium’s notification states that the games will be available until March 28, 2024. Meanwhile, Premium members have access to the entire game collection under the “Playables” section in the Explore tab.
