Will be used on Sony Xperia 1 VI and 5 VI
As you know, Sony comes up with an innovation unprecedented in the industry in every flagship model. In a way, we can say that it is trying to continue the “first in the world” tradition. Recently, the technology giant announced that the digital signature technology developed jointly with the Associated Press (AP) and Camera Bits is almost complete.
For those who missed it, this technology, which was introduced for DSLR cameras, will first be available on the Alpha 9 III, Alpha 1 and Alpha 7S III models. After this, it will accompany the new generation Xperia phones. Exactly how the feature will work has not been shared yet. However, apart from the camera details, it is said to have a large amount of metadata such as when the image was taken, whether any editing was done or not.
In this context, it can also be used to prove the authenticity of the photo and manipulation will be prevented. If we go beyond smartphones, we should point out that Sony is not the first in this field. In late October, Leica announced the M11-P model, which can add a digital signature to images. But it comes with a price tag of over $9,000.
