Tron founder Justin Sun announced that an “epic airdrop” will be held after the problems experienced in HTX and Poloniex.

Making the statement via X, Sun once again noted that all assets are safe:

“As we prepare to restart deposits and withdrawals on HTX and Poloniex, we will be launching an epic airdrop for users with assets. Please continue to follow us. I offer my sincere apologies to users affected by the attacks on HTX and Poloniex. We will cover the damage and all your assets are safe.”

What happened?

HTX (formerly Huobi Global), where Justin Sun is a global consultant, was attacked by hackers on November 22.

In his statement on the same day, Sun stated that the HTX and HECO Cross-chain bridge was hacked and that withdrawals and deposits were suspended.

While the attack resulted in a loss of $13.6 million, it was stated that deposits and withdrawals would continue within 24 hours.

The exchange promised that the losses would be compensated 100 percent.
