The world’s first satellite-connected tablet
As far as it is reported, MatePad Pro 11 will be Huawei’s first tablet that can access China’s Beidou satellite system. Thus, it will be possible to send messages or share location even in areas where there is no network coverage.
Also launched as the world’s first tablet with satellite communication, MatePad Pro 11 achieves all this without the need for an additional antenna. Therefore, it is an important milestone for the brand. For those who missed it, Huawei’s satellite communications system receives support from high-orbit satellites positioned 36,000 kilometers away.
Huawei MatePad Pro 11 release date
The satellite connection support of the tablet, which is expected to be introduced on November 28, will be exclusive to China. We should point out that this is not surprising. Niketim brand had previously included a similar system in the Huawei P60, Huawei P60 Pro, Mate 50 series, Mate X3, Mate X3 Pro, Mate Xs 2 and Nova 11 Ultra models. However, we see that this feature is gradually making its way to tablets.
Detailed features of MatePad Pro 11 have not been announced yet. However, according to the official listing on Huawei’s website, it will continue the trend of slim design and large-screen viewing experience. The images also confirm that the tablet will have a punch-hole OLED display and dual camera design. Additionally, pen support is not forgotten.
