Delay in video uploads!
A video was shared on a social networking platform showing that YouTube opens too late in the Firefox browser. The fact that the page loads quite late and the video suggestions arrive late can be seen as a connection problem, but the same person showed in the video that he did not experience any slowness in the Chrome browser and YouTube loaded the videos normally.
Curious folks found code in the script on YouTube.com that acts as a timeout, forcing users to wait up to five seconds before the page loads. Although the code does not point to a specific browser, users state that they correct loading times by using a filter for this code.
Google’s statement
Google cited ad blockers as the obvious reason for this slowdown, stating: “To support an ecosystem of diverse content creators around the world and enable billions of people to access their favorite content on YouTube, we encourage viewers who turn on ad blockers to allow ads or opt for an ad-free experience.” We’ve launched an initiative to encourage you to try YouTube Premium. Users who install ad blockers may experience substandard browsing regardless of the browser they use.”
