Nokia, which was once a legendary phone manufacturer and identified with the concept of mobile phones, was virtually eliminated from the market when it could not move into the smartphone industry. Although the company has been giving signals towards rebirth with the devices it has produced recently, it has become the focus of discussions with the steps it has taken.

Nokia C32 debuts as HMD M-Kopa X1 in Africa

Nokia, which sold its smartphone division to Microsoft in 2013, came under the umbrella of HMD Global in 2016. Even though it has reached a certain audience with the models it has produced since then, it has never been able to join the star names such as Apple, Samsung and Xiaomi. Still maintaining this goal, Nokia has undertaken an initiative generally seen in lower-tier smartphone companies.

Nokia C32, which took the stage last February, was modified for the African market with the name of its parent company and put on sale under the name HMD M-Kopa X1. The device remained exactly the same on the hardware side. The only change in design is the inclusion of the Nokia logo M-Kopa. Additionally, a new “Designed by HMD” logo has been added at the bottom of the device.

The fact that the umbrella company deleted the Nokia name and put forward its own name caused the question “Will the Nokia name be deleted from the smartphone world?”, which has been a rumor for a long time. It reignited the rumors. Finally, let’s take a look at the features of the model;
