Meta, one of the important names in the technology field, has launched its X rival, Threads application, which we know as Twitter. Many features have come to the platform since the use of this application. However, today, the biggest shortcoming of the platform has been resolved.
There was a major deficiency in Threads, which was made available to users a few months ago. That was the lack of Threads account deletion feature. However, with today’s news, this deficiency in the platform has been eliminated and Threads has introduced the account deletion feature.
The only way to delete the account from the Threads application was to also delete the Instagram account. Thanks to the new feature offered by the platform, it will be possible to delete the Threads account independently.
The new feature offers users two different options. Users will either completely delete their Threads accounts or temporarily freeze them. For those who choose to delete the account, all data will be completely destroyed within 30 days.
The data will continue to be included in the frozen account. Here’s what you need to do for this:
- First, go to “Settings” from the Threads application.
- Then select “Account”.
- Click on “Freeze or delete profile” from the options that appear.
- Finally, delete or freeze your account as you wish.
