Netflix, the world’s largest entertainment/media company in terms of market value, plans to open entertaining stores to promote its content.

Netflix plans to open entertainment-focused, experiential spaces called “Netflix Houses” where people can shop, dine and enjoy other activities tied to their favorite movies and TV shows.

Netflix CEO Ted Sarandos announced during the Bloomberg Screentime conference that Netflix plans to open two locations in 2025, with plans to further expand Netflix worldwide. “Don’t think like Disneyland,” Sarandos said, adding that Netflix House is “a place you can go to several times a month, not just once a few years.”

Netflix sees House as a way to promote their content rather than a meaningful source of revenue. These venues will have different structures, ranging from ticketed shows to restaurants and retail stores.
