A Reddit user said the new Matrix game has been discovered in ‘hidden corners of PSN’, but there are almost no details about the game, except for an image that’s coming to PS5 and saying it’s an ‘Unreal Engine 5 experience’.
Warner Bros.Eurogamer speculates that this could be some sort of collaboration between Matrix distributor Warner Bros. and Epic Games. The game is also said to have importance, as it may be the first game developed using Unreal Engine 5.
Released on PS2, The Matrix: Path of Neo and Enter the Matrix may not have been well received by critics, but it wasn’t hard for them to become two of the most beloved titles on PS2. Playing as Keanu Reeves in his long jacket and battling enemies with Superman-like attacks was an extraordinarily immersive experience.
