Soon you may see a new way of calculating who will pay how much when you pay the bill when you go somewhere with your friends. Facebook has announced that it is working on a new feature called Split Payments. Split Payments is described as “a new and fast way to split and pay bills and expenses”. This feature, which is valid for the USA for now, will be activated this week and users will be able to make joint payments with their friends with whom they have group chat.
When using this feature in group chat, after determining the amount to be paid, it can be divided equally among everyone or it can be specified who will pay how much. The payment is then sent via Facebook Pay. The payer’s document and payment information are also displayed in the group chat.
