Elon Musk aims to make X an all-inclusive social platform. Following video and voice call support, the length of videos to be uploaded to the platform has been increased. Musk introduced the platform’s new live broadcast feature by opening a 54-minute Diablo IV broadcast. Following Musk’s post, Mark Kalman, an engineer at X, also shared a video showing how users can broadcast live by connecting the OBS software to their Twitter accounts via X Media Studio.
Musk signaled in June that X would gain a live game streaming feature. After Twitch introduced new rules that directly affected broadcasters who make money from branded content, broadcasters turned to alternatives such as YouTube Gaming and Facebook Live. Now, there is another alternative. The game streaming feature will be available to X Premium subscribers.
Shopping live
Live shopping feature is also coming to X. Live shopping will be offered, where users can watch live broadcasts, chat and shop with other people, as well as video content and Spaces conversations.
