Xiaomi introduced a new affordable wireless headset. The product, released under the name Redmi Buds 5, offers active noise canceling technology and fast charging support. We should point out that it is significantly different from the previous model in terms of design.
Redmi Buds 5 is equipped with an active noise cancellation (ANC) system of up to 46 dB. There are also three different noise cancellation and three different external sound permeability levels (transparent mode). The headphones have titanium-coated drivers with a diameter of 12.4 mm. There’s also NetEase Cloud Sound certification, Bluetooth 5.3, and dual microphones.
Battery life and other details
The battery life of Redmi Buds 5 goes up to 40 hours with the support of the charging box. However, wireless headphones are capable of lasting 10 hours alone without this support. It is possible to get 2 hours of music playback time with a five-minute quick charge.
Redmi Buds 5 comes in white, black and purple color options. There will also be a limited edition version in camouflage color designed in collaboration with the AAPE brand. The price tag of the standard model is $27. The AAPE version is $41.
