Li Auto CEO Li Xiang said that the company has no plans to enter the smartphone market. Speaking about the company’s recruitment of names from the telephone market, Xiang stated that this is nothing new and that approximately 15 percent of the team hired by the brand in the last eight years came from this sector.
The starting point of these rumors can be shown as Li Auto’s hiring of iQOO’s former product manager Violet Song. As it is known, this name also worked at Huawei before. However, it seems that the company aims to use the talents of these names for technologies in automobiles rather than smartphones.
