NASA published the expected UFO report: There is no evidence of aliens

NASA’s UFO (Unidentified Flying Object) research team has just released its long-awaited first report, and while its experts found no signs of extraterrestrial origins for the reported sightings, the space agency announced that it has appointed a new chief to study these phenomena.

NASA has appointed a team of independent experts in 2022 to inform other government agencies about how better data can be collected and analyzed to understand UFOs, or unidentified anomalous phenomena (UAPs). The scope of UAP includes not only objects or events that are in the air and not immediately identifiable, but also objects that are underwater or in space and travel between areas.

“There is a lot to learn”

“The most important conclusion from the study is that there is much more to learn,” said NASA Administrator Bill Nelson while announcing the report. Nelson said the study team found no evidence that UAPs have an extraterrestrial origin, but they still don’t know what they are. Nelson also announced that NASA will appoint a director of UAP research to develop and oversee UAP research to further research.

NASA’s first report, on the other hand, doesn’t really do much to shed light on the UFO conundrum, but does offer suggestions on how NASA can help move the subject forward. The conclusion of the report argues that NASA can best contribute to the issue by leveraging Earth observation satellites to help provide better data and evidence on UAP.

“Currently, analysis of UAP data is hampered by poor sensor calibration, lack of multiple measurements, lack of sensor metadata, and lack of underlying data,” the report says. NASA also emphasizes that the lack of quality data must be eliminated.

NASA itself will now collect data

While talking about the lack of data on the subject, Nelson added that UFO sightings are difficult to study scientifically because they are often unpredictable and temporary. “UAP is one of our planet’s greatest mysteries,” said Nicola Fox, deputy administrator of the agency’s Science Mission Directorate. While there are numerous eyewitness accounts and images of UAP, they are not coherent or detailed. “Nor are they curated observations that can be used to draw definitive scientific conclusions about the nature and origin of UAP.” he said.

The report also includes several images of alleged UAP, both identified and unexplained; one of these appears to show a metallic “sphere-like” object flying without known propulsion methods. “Due to limited data, the object could not be identified,” the report states. “NASA’s own involvement in future data collection would play an important role in reducing the stigma associated with UAP reporting, which currently likely leads to data loss,” the report said.

In conclusion, the NASA report summarizes that there is no evidence of aliens, but little is known about UAPs. NASA’s appointment of a director directly focused on this field could eliminate the lack of scientific data.
