As you know, the countdown has begun for the highly anticipated Intel Raptor Lake Refresh processors. So much so that the new desktop platform is expected to be introduced next October. In this context, while the exciting wait continues, the first results from the family’s flagship model, Intel Core i9-14900KS, have leaked to the internet.

Intel Core i9-14900KF tested in Geekbench

According to current reports, Intel Core i9-14900KF will have 24 cores, 8 performance and 16 efficiency, 6 GHz clock speed with Thermal Velocity Boost technology and 36 MB smart cache. In the new leak, we see that the flagship processor was tested on 32GB DDR5-7000 RAM and AsRock Z790 Taichi motherboard.

According to the shared results, Intel i9-14900KS reaches a score of 3,322 to 3,347 in single-core and 22,895 to 23,051 in multi-core. The scores of the processor in Geekbench 5 are 2,412 and 26,972, respectively. When we make a small comparison, we can say that these results are approximately 5 to 6 percent higher in multi-core and 12 percent higher in single-core than the current flagship i9-13900K.

For those who don’t know, the most important upgrade to the Raptor Lake Refresh processors will be support for higher core counts, higher clock speeds, and faster DDR5 memory (potentially 6400 MT/s). Therefore, the new CPUs will continue to use the Intel 7 processing node and will be compatible with existing LGA 1700/1800 motherboards.

14th Generation Raptor Lake Refresh processors are expected to be released at the Intel Innovation 2023 event on October 17. Therefore, we think that more leaks will be shared in the coming days, including on benchmarking platforms.
