PUBG’s developer Krafton plans to launch the USDC payment method through the Cosmos-based platform.

PUBG makes moves for USDC
Krafton, the team behind the popular war game PUBG, introduced the Cosmos (ATOM)-based blockchain project for the USDC payment method. Developed on the Cosmos SDK, Settlus will use USDC for in-game payments.
Circle CEO Jeremy Allaire confirmed PUBG’s move with his post on the X platform. Allaire said the 30 million-player gaming giant’s plan to build a payment network using USDC on Cosmos is exciting.

Cosmos SDK, a tool from Cosmos, provides services for building a layer-1 blockchain. PUBG developer Krafton will develop the new blockchain Settlus with this tool. Settlus’ website and social media accounts were also opened. According to the information on the website, Settlus’ testnet will be released in early 2024.
Settlus, which Krafton plans to develop, will reveal layer-1 speed in payment methods and metaverse data. Circle CEO Jeremy Allaire highlighted the potential of Settlus to move 30 million users to USDC. Krafton introduced his new venture at the Circle Hacker House event.
