MSI AM5 motherboards DDR5-8000 era begins
With the AGESA 1.0.0.7c update released, a serious DDR5 frequency increase is possible in MSI’s AM5 motherboard series. Support for up to DDR5-8000 memory is now available for the top of the line MEG X670E GODLIKE and X670E ACE. Previously, both of these cards supported DDR5-6666+ and DDR5-6600+ memory, so the new speeds are a huge improvement.
The new AMD AGESA 1.0.0.7c BIOS update now not only improves high-frequency memory support, but also allows for much higher overclocking. We’ve already seen a few AM5 boards that easily go above DDR5-9000 frequencies that were previously impossible for the platform. You can access the BIOS update from the support page of your relevant product. If you do not know how to update, “How to update BIOS, what does it do?” You can use our guide.
