With the AGESA 1.0.0.7c update released, a serious DDR5 frequency increase is possible in MSI’s AM5 motherboard series. Support for up to DDR5-8000 memory is now available for the top of the line MEG X670E GODLIKE and X670E ACE. Previously, both of these cards supported DDR5-6666+ and DDR5-6600+ memory, so the new speeds are a huge improvement.
Moving down the rankings, there are a number of MPG and MAG series motherboards that are seeing a huge boost in memory support. We see that almost the entire segment has achieved supporting DDR5-7000 DRAM. Even the entry-level model, the MSI Pro A620M-E, gets DDR5-6800 DRAM support thanks to the latest AGESA 1.0.0.7c BIOS update.
