Intel’s next-generation LGA 1851 socket motherboards and processors may still be a year away, but Noctua coolers already support them. The coolers, which the company says are compatible with both current generation and next generation processors, were displayed in the Tsukumo PC store, one of Japan’s largest hardware stores.

Noctua showcases LGA 1851 compatible coolers

Coolers like Noctua’s new NH-U12A support the next generation Intel LGA 1851 socket. The price of this cooler displayed in Japan is approximately $110. The NH-U12A CPU cooler is a standard tower product that supports dual 120mm fan configurations and is compatible with all modern CPU sockets and platforms. The cooler comes in both brown and black (Chromax.black) color options and has NF-A12x25/NF-F12 fans. A tube of NH-T1 thermal paste is also included in the package.

On the other hand, do not be fooled by the early arrival of Intel LGA 1851 socket coolers. Usually, socket layout and dimensions are shared with cooler manufacturers in advance. Thus, companies have the chance to design their coolers according to technical specifications. Again, for this reason, we have seen many leaks about the LGA 1851 socket so far.

Intel’s new socket will be supported by 800 series motherboards and Arrow Lake-S desktop processors. If Intel does not make a change in its plans, the Arrow Lake series will be released in the second half of 2024.
