Worldcoin, which was in the middle of local investigations, managed to break the daily record in Argentina despite this situation.
Worldcoin, the crypto project co-founded by Sam Altman, opened its doors to approximately 9,500 Argentinian users today. Since the project started, it has been on the agenda with country-based bans. Worldcoin, which has achieved success in Argentina amid the ongoing pressures, has become a matter of curiosity whether it will reach global comfort.
Investigations are not slowing down
The record data on the project comes as Argentinian authorities continue to investigate Worldcoin’s data privacy. Earlier this month, Argentina’s Public Information Access Agency said it would “comprehensively analyze” the processes and practices used regarding the collection, storage and use of personal data. The agency added that it plans to take unspecified measures to resolve any problems identified.
Kenya, a country where Worldcoin currently has hundreds of thousands of customers, suspended Worldcoin earlier this month. Officially launched on July 24, Worldcoin continues to battle multiple investigations as its users register their identities online by signing up for World ID via iris scanning.
