Augmented and virtual reality technologies have started to develop considerably in recent years. We have seen the last example of this once again with Apple’s Vision Pro mixed reality glasses. The US technology giant, on the other hand, continues to take much bigger steps in this regard.
Giant step in virtual reality from Apple
Apple seems to be planning a future where we no longer need screens or Apple Vision Pro to interact with the augmented reality world with the new technology it is planning. The company’s new patent called “Electronic Devices with Projectors” gives us the first clue to this.
The new patent, which looks like a projection, will present us with artificial reality without any screen or glasses. In the patent taken by Apple, there are various explanations about shading and projected images. Accordingly, we may encounter a complete virtual environment in our homes or at our desks in the future.
With this patent, Apple can break new ground in virtual reality. Many of the items mentioned in the new patent are primarily focused on shadowing and hand movements. With the help of various tools to be placed in the projection system, it is aimed to monitor hand movements and thus to establish interaction.
The 18-page patent received by the company includes 20 articles and 8 drawings. The resulting patent highlights more than 30 different possible devices besides the Vision Pro. Among these devices, the system that will create a virtual reality on the table is among the ones that attract the most attention.
In the near future, we can say that we will be able to interact with computers only with this projector without any mouse or keyboard. So what do you think about Apple and its virtual reality patent? You can share your views with us in the comments section.
