READING NOW Intel’s 14th Gen processors “MSI” leaked: Performance increase is a joke!

Intel is gearing up to launch its 14th Gen desktop processors later this year. However, something started to go wrong. “MSI” accidentally revealed all the details. A tutorial video has been spotted on MSI’s YouTube channel with important details about Intel’s as yet unannounced 14th Gen processors codenamed Raptor Lake-S Refresh.

What will Intel 14th Gen processors look like?

MSI states that Intel’s 14th Gen processors will be three percent faster than 13th Gen, on average. This figure may be below the expectations of many, but it is also among the news that Intel Core i7 will see a large 17 percent increase in multi-threaded workloads.

MSI deleted the video right after posting it, but it was too late. The information has already been saved. Although MSI returned from this mistake, it leaked Intel’s 14th Generation processors. According to the video, the core counts of the Core i5-14600K and Core i9-14900K will remain the same as their 13th Gen counterparts. However, there will be an increase in the core counts of the Core i7-14700K.

The Core i7-14700K will feature twelve efficiency cores instead of eight performance and eight efficiency cores, resulting in a 17 percent improvement in certain multi-threaded workloads. Although other processors are not expected, the Core i7-14700K seems to enchant users. Of course, it is worth noting that surprise developments may occur in other processors as well.

MSI also revealed that there are no architectural changes to Intel’s 14th Gen chips, meaning they are built on the same Intel 7 (10nm) process as current 13th Gen chips. This means these CPUs will also work on MSI’s current Z690 and Z790 motherboards, as we’ve seen from the company’s recent BIOS updates.

According to MSI’s video, 14th Gen processors will also bring higher DDR5 frequencies and L3 cache improvements. It is said that Intel will announce its 14th Generation processors at the Innovation 2023 event to be held next month. PC gamers are wondering what the result of comparing 14th Gen processors to AMD’s latest X3D processors.
