Fresh information about Samsung’s new tracking device continues to come. According to recent reports, the South Korean company plans to launch the Galaxy SmartTag 2 in mid-October. The claim in question was also confirmed by several sources close to the company.It was previously revealed that the tracker will have a completely new design. The square form factor with rounded corners has been shelved. Instead, an oval shape resembling a soda opener was adopted. The accessory now has a larger ring on it.
It will offer both Bluetooth and UWB connectivity
This new design will make it easier for users to hang the SmartTag 2 on key chains. For now, we know that the tracker will have two color options, black and white. However, there is a possibility that the company is working on other colors.
Samsung’s next-generation tracker will no longer be split into just Bluetooth and UWB variants. The SmartTag 2 will reportedly have both Bluetooth and UWB connectivity. In other words, users will not have to choose from these options.
