The Alienware AW2524H is the fastest gaming monitor on the planet at 500 refreshes per second, but the $830 price tag is a pretty high amount for most users. Alienware should also be aware of this high price tag, as it is launching its new AW2524HF monitor, which replaces G-Sync technology with AMD’s platform-independent FreeSync technology.

Alienware AW2524HF features

Alienware states that the monitor’s AMD FreeSync Premium and VESA AdaptiveSync certification can enable tearing and stutter-free gaming. The AW2524HF also features a 0.5ms low-latency response time, which eliminates motion blur and ghosting effects, according to Alienware. The Alienware AW2524HF’s 24.5-inch display is also HDR10 compatible and has 99 percent sRGB color coverage. The fast IPS panel is said to provide consistent visuals from any viewing angle. Alienware also states that the TUV-certified ComfortView Plus hardware feature allows the screen to deliver realistic colors while reducing harmful low blue light.

The monitor comes with a built-in retractable hanger for your headphones and a height-adjustable hexagonal base designed to take up less space on your desk. For connectivity, there are two DisplayPort 1.4 slots, an HDMI 2.1 port and five USB 3.2 ports. Alienware, a sub-brand of Dell, will launch this monitor from September 12. The price of the AW2524HF is $650. Admittedly, it’s still pretty expensive, especially for a 24-inch, 1080p monitor. However, for esports players who want a high refresh rate, this monitor is positioned in a good place.
