Popular video platform YouTube has decided to make a change to its web version that most users probably won’t notice. Now the corners of YouTube videos you watch from the desktop will not be sharp.
Speaking to The Verge, company spokesperson Allison Toh confirmed the change. Users will now start to see rounded corners instead of sharp corners.
The change is slowly rolling out to everyone
You can find the screenshot taken by The Verge above. Although it is not a big change, we can say that the rounded corners look nicer. In addition, the thumbnail images (thumbnails of the videos) have this kind of design, which contributes to the appearance of the platform as a whole.
It should be noted that the sharp corners are only for watching videos in standard mode. When you switch to the cinema mode, the old version will continue to appear.
Rounded corners are not for everyone for now. When we checked YouTube from the desktop, we saw that there were still sharp corners. But Toh says change is starting to come to everyone. This means that we will say goodbye to sharp corners soon.
