Another feature hindering mass adoption is the lack of a web version, but the expected web version of Threads will be released this week, according to The Wall Street Journal. Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg’s announcement in early August that a web version is coming “in the next few weeks” coincides with the WSJ’s claimed timeline. Also, Instagram head Adam Mosseri revealed last week that the web version of Threads has been undergoing internal testing “for a week or two”, but “requires some work” before it becomes available.
