There has been an exciting development for God of War, which is seen as one of the best game series in the world. Although Ragnarök, the last game in the action-adventure series, was released at the end of last year, it was claimed that the new production went into development.
New God of War game may be under development
Santa Monica, the developer of God of War, seems to have started working on a new game. Sony-owned studio posted a new job posting this week. In the advertisement, it was not overlooked that the applicant was asked to “know about God of War (2018) and God of War Ragnarök (2022)”.
Santa Monica’s new job posting was titled War Designer. This shows that the new production can offer much different combat experiences. The posting asks the candidate to be knowledgeable about combat systems, mechanics and enemies.
The job posting is the first indication that a new GoW game is being developed after Ragnarök, which debuted last year. Ragnarök creative director Cory Barlog previously confirmed that the studio is working on several projects. The ad, on the other hand, stipulates that you must be experienced in “the latest God of War games”.
However, the story of the new production or which mythology it will focus on is not yet clear. With the completion of the Scandinavian story, it seems likely that a new setting and mythology will come to the fore. Eric Williams, the game director of Ragnarök, stated that they wanted to run the God of War series in a similar line.
