Intel Lunar Lake processors are starting to become clear! Here is the first information

Technology giant Intel has started preparations for Arrow Lake and Lunar processors, which are expected to be introduced in 2024. In this context, we continue to hear leaks about both architectures for a while. Today, the chip giant has confirmed the core designs of Arrow and Lunar Lake. Let’s take a look at the details together.

Intel Lunar Lake processors are starting to get clear

As you know, Intel will soon appear with Raptor Lake Refresh and new generation Meteor Lake processors. However, we can say that the biggest upgrade here will be on the Meteor Lake front. Arrow and Lunar Lake processors, which will be introduced later, will be based on a brand new design separated by CPU, SOC and GPU sections.

Recent reports have shown that Intel is working on a next-generation integrated graphics architecture known as Xe2 or “Battlemage”. Today, the chip giant has approved microarchitectures for the next-generation CPU series via the ‘perfmon’ software library. Accordingly, Lunar Lake processors will be showcased with Lion Cove and Skymont cores.

Among these, Lion Cove will represent major performance cores, while Skymont will be based on next-generation productivity cores. Let’s also remind you that this design will also be used in Arrow Lake processors. The interesting point here is that for both architectures, the year 2024 is pointed. Therefore, we can say that Lunar Lake processors are clearly targeting low-power devices.

Intel has reiterated its goal of being production-ready for the Lunar Lake series by the second half of 2024. However, it has not yet been confirmed whether the series will actually be ready for launch in the same year. We’ll have to wait a little longer for that.
