But Apple’s latest iOS 17 beta seems to have made an interesting design decision that replaces the “End Call” button.
The latest iOS 17 beta 5, which Apple has allowed a large number of iPhone users to test, takes the big red end call button from the bottom center of the screen where it has been for years and which is quite logical, shrinks it down and pushes it to the bottom right corner like something that doesn’t quite work or is penalized anymore. . Most modern phones, including Android, place the end call button somewhere in the middle of the screen. With this change, it is predictable that many people will accidentally press the FaceTime or keypad buttons.
Apple has yet to comment on this design change. The new update, which is coming to all phones, will be available this September, as Apple will share details of the iPhone 15 series. The new update has many logical and fun features coming to the calling function, including customized contact posters, live voicemail transcripts, and video voicemails.
However, it is worth noting that this change in the end call button may not be permanent. As CNBC reported, Apple moved the browser bar in Safari down from the top of the app for the iOS 15 beta in 2021, but when the update was released, the bar was moved back to its original location.
