Electronic Arts announced that it will close the servers of 12 games, including Battlefield Bad Company, Dead Space 2 and Crysis 3, to make room for more current productions. For those who don’t know, EA previously announced that FIFA 18, 19, 20 and 21 servers will be shut down after the end of the FIFA series. However, this list has been updated again with many popular titles. In this context, the games included in the list include Crysis 3, Battlefield 1943, Battlefield Bad Company, Bad Company 2, Dead Space 2 and the popular parkour game Mirror’s Edge Catalyst.
As for FIFA 18, 19, 20 and 21, online support for all four FIFA games will end on November 6, 2023. At this stage, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and PC servers will be shut down. EA, on the other hand, announced that from the relevant date, only single-player game modes such as Kickoff and Career mode will be supported. Therefore, players will be able to continue their old careers.
EA says the decision to shut down a server wasn’t easy for them either, but they were thrown in to devote time and resources to more active games. According to EA’s official website, the productions, platforms and closing dates to be interrupted are as follows:
