After the US embargoes, the HarmonyOS platform, one of the most important elements of Huawei’s effort to stand, has been promoted to the fourth generation. The new version, announced as HarmonyOS 4, includes many innovations.
The first notable innovation is the introduction of a Dynamic Island-like feature built-in. It can show notifications and alerts in real time in feature-supported applications called Live Window.
Users can customize system fonts and colors in different combinations in HarmonyOS 4 version, which has been made more modern by overhauling its general appearance. While Panorama Weather put daily forecasts on the lock screen, the notification center also received an update categorized by preferences.
While increasing the number of home screen widgets, copied content can be transferred both system-wide and between HarmonyOS devices. The sequel feature also comes to in-car entertainment systems, while the overhauled Ark software engine offers 20 percent better performance.
HarmonyOS 4 beta version will be offered to a total of 34 devices such as Huawei Mate 50 series, Huawei P50 series, Mate X3. 35 more devices will be included in the beta program in the coming weeks. HarmonyOS is used on 700 million devices in total.
