While productive artificial intelligence technologies continued to become widespread, moves were coming from Meta, as in many technology giants. It has been revealed that the company, which recently announced that it has developed a common language model with Microsoft, is now planning to bring remarkable artificial intelligence features to Facebook and Instagram.
According to a report shared by the Financial Times, Meta will bring new chatbots with some very interesting features to its services like Facebook and Instagram next month.
Chatbots coming to Facebook and Instagram are said to have ‘personality’
According to the news that Financial Times based on internal sources, artificial intelligence-supported chatbots will have different personalities. For example, it is stated that one of these bots can “speak like Abraham Lincoln”, while another can offer “surfer-style” travel advice.
In fact, it is not the first time that such a feature will come to Instagram. In June, app researcher Alessandro Paluzzi leaked the ability to chat with an AI that has 30 different personalities that can answer users’ questions. The leak also revealed that bots can also be used to compose messages.
Meta can bring a new experience of searching and getting advice to users with chatbots for which there is no official explanation and detail yet. It can also offer a new way of interacting with its services. Of course, we will see what it has to offer for sure when the chatbots debut.
Also, the new chatbots have the potential to enable Meta to compete and prove itself with companies making artificial intelligence moves like Microsoft, OpenAI and Google. It can also help it get ahead of its competitors like TikTok by increasing engagement.
Mark Zuckerberg was signaling artificial intelligence models with “character”. The CEO stated that they created a new product group focused on productive artificial intelligence in February and said, “We will focus on developing artificial intelligence characters by helping people in the long term.”
