CryptoCom announced that it has received approval from the Central Bank to offer its services in the Netherlands.

The platform has announced that it has registered with De Nederlandsche Bank (DNB) as a cryptocurrency service provider, following a thorough review of the AML and anti-terrorist financing requirement. So far, 36 businesses related to the crypto industry have been registered with the Dutch central bank. In addition, major operators such as Coinbase Europe, eToro and Bitstamp also have licenses to operate in the Netherlands.

CryptoCom’s services were available in the Netherlands prior to the registration announcement. DNB press officer Oudejans said Netherlands-based users are legally allowed to sign up for a service, but an unregistered company would be acting illegally if it requested or advertised its services to potential Dutch users.

Oudejans explained that the registration specifically allows crypto service providers to supply customers with cryptocurrency wallets and process their exchanges in related assets. After the Netherlands’ approval of CryptoCom, it is curious what changes will happen in both the platform and the Dutch crypto ecosystem.
