Exoprimal, as I said, is a live service game from Capcom. The game has only an online mode and I can say that it is basically an Overwatch style game. A game where you fight with the team where the characters are the focus. Our goal in the game is to kill the dinosaurs raining from the sky, and to fight the opposing team on the other. In this way, we come across a slightly more layered structure. With the Exo armors that you can change during the match and you choose at the beginning, you basically choose a class and have various abilities. These are actually the tank, attack and support class we are familiar with from such games. However, as in Battlefield games, you can change your armor, as well as your class, in-game. This allows you to develop tactics according to the situation. It’s up to you to balance the classes or focus on a single class. For the moment, there is a balance, yes, but I can say that in some cases, when a single class is selected (such as a tank), things become a bit of a hassle. But I can easily say that the balance between the classes has been preserved.
I can say that using abilities, entering battle and other gameplay mechanics are enjoyable. At least I didn’t have a problem with this during the time I played and I had a lot of fun playing. But it must be said that the introductory part of the game is rather dull compared to the continuation of the game. This is a very interesting situation for an online game. As for the customization part, I can say that it is not very detailed to begin with. The customization on the gameplay side is close to the ones in games like Battlefield, but there are of course different customizations due to the style and theme of the game. We can also say that it is simple and understandable. The game also has a story, yes, but to be honest, I never followed it and I didn’t want to follow it from the beginning. However, if you are looking for an extra reason to connect to the game, it’s nice to have such diversity.
Finally, I want to talk about in-game purchases. Since the game is online after all, there are in-game purchases as we are used to now. However, for now, purchases are cosmetic only. That’s why I can say that it is balanced, but what will happen in the future is of course uncertain.
To sum up, I can say that Exoprimal is an enjoyable game. If there is a lack of online shooter in your life, you can check it out, but if you already play a game, I honestly couldn’t find a reason to switch to this game. But I can still suggest that you can enjoy it with your friends when you have a suitable time.
