The return of Exynos seems inevitable
According to Pocket-lint’s report, Samsung will use the Exynos processor in the upcoming Galaxy S23 FE model, which is said to be released later this year. Although the report does not include details of this processor, the leaked Geekbench listings pointed to the Exynos 2200. However, models sold in the US will likely come with Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1.
It is also claimed that the highly anticipated Galaxy S24 series will return to Exynos processors. For those who don’t know, all of the current Galaxy S23 models debuted with an overclocked Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy platform. It is not yet confirmed whether the Galaxy S24 will have different processors from market to market. However, Arm’s changing business model and rising license fees may complicate Samsung’s business.
It is also stated that the Exynos 2400, which is said to power the Galaxy S24, will be an impressive competitor to Qualcomm’s upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. So much so that the number of computing units in the new processor will quadruple. What we know about the Galaxy S23 FE and S24 series is limited to these for now. However, we expect more details to be shared in the coming weeks.
