The automotive industry is in a state of great change. Nowadays, when we say goodbye to models with internal combustion engines, electric cars have started to come to the fore. In this process, brands tend to expand their electric model ranges. However, the lifespan of some electric models is not as short as expected.

Honda E will not see its second generation

Honda E was one of the models that said goodbye to the production lines by not seeing the expected interest in this regard. The Japanese manufacturer’s first all-electric vehicle in the global market, the Honda E, will not see its next generation as the small hatchback market is shrinking day by day and the demand for SUVs is increasing.

Launched in various markets introduced in 2020, the small four-door car houses an electric motor capable of producing 152 horsepower and 315 Nm of torque. The 35.5 kWh battery of this small and cute car, which transmits its power to the rear wheels, offers a range of 211 kilometers according to WLPT standards.

After the small car ‘E’ model, Honda continues its electric car moves. Entering the European market with the e:Ny1 model, the brand intends to satisfy customers’ SUV requests with this vehicle. While this is the case, the Japanese manufacturer, who could not reach the desired figures with the Honda E, is preparing to unplug the small electric car.
