Polygon ID previously only allowed identity checks to be done on the Blockchain where they were originally installed. For example, if you created your identity on Polygon, you couldn’t use it on Ethereum (ETH). This meant that users had to create a new identity for each Blockchain. But now, thanks to this partnership, identities created on Polygon (MATIC) can be used on Ethereum. Expectations are that other blockchains such as BNB Chain and Avalanche will soon be included in this list.
