Threads, the new platform of Instagram’s Twitter rival, had been the fastest debuting platform. The application reached 100 million users on its fifth day, breaking a record in the near future.

On the other hand, new data shared by data.ai revealed that the platform started to lose its momentum, which it gained rapidly. Threads has seen a huge decline in the number of daily active users.

Threads has started to decline:

Threads hosted one-fifth of Twitter’s daily active users in the early days of its launch. According to the latest data, that number has seen a 20% drop since last Tuesday and Wednesday.

The number of active users wasn’t the only drop either. The time spent by users who continue to use the platform has also decreased drastically in the same time period. The average time, which was 20 minutes, decreased to 10 minutes.

The countries that downloaded Threads the most were also announced:

data.ai also revealed in which countries Threads was downloaded the most. According to data covering iOS and Google Play Store downloads up to 12 July, the app was most downloaded in India.

India, which accounts for 33% of the world in Threads downloads, was followed by Brazil with 22% and the USA with 16%. In the fourth and fifth places were Mexico with 8% and Japan with 5%.

The reason for the drop may be that the app is very empty right now, maybe these will save a bit…:
