Slack alternative Threads has passed 1 million downloads!
Threads, which came out as a Slack alternative in 2019, has significantly increased its traffic with Meta’s release of the app of the same name. Meta’s acquisition of Threads.net domain name instead of Threads.com for the application may be one of the reasons for this intensity. That aside, Threads, which is not affiliated with Instagram between July 6 and July 12, has approached 1 million downloads worldwide on the iOS platform alone. It was the 52nd most downloaded app in the app store and the third app in the business category.
The company was so impressed with Meta’s booming app that it had to make a note on its website and App Store that it had no affiliation with Instagram and Meta. Meanwhile, one of the company’s founders is Rousseau Kazi, a former product manager at Facebook.
