Big brands think it’s time to revise some of their logos. Companies that are aware of the impact of modern logos on people continue to revise them rapidly. The last to join this trend was the giant company Google. The Find My Device logo, which is one of the popular applications, has been changed. So what does the new logo look like?
How is the Find My Device new logo?
This summer, Google will leverage over 1 billion Android devices to find tags (like the Galaxy SmartTag) and headphones. As part of this, Find My Device is getting a new logo. For the past few years, the icon for the Find My Device app on Android has been a white pin with a phone in the middle on a green background. This logo conveyed to the user the map-based nature of the application.
The new Find My Device logo continues the maps motif, with a crosshair design in the company’s four colors, which also evokes radar and scanning. The modernization of the logo, which looks more colorful and lively compared to the old logo, is evident in every aspect. But there are also obvious visual disadvantages. The logo may mix with other blue/red/yellow/green icons on your phone.
With a degree of security and an Android feel, green could have differentiated the app better, especially since it’s an app you can search for in a panic. So, according to some, the old logo is better than the looks. Recently, Google has shown its willingness not to bring the four-color design to apps like Play Books. But Google used this concept in its Authenticator and Arts & Culture apps.
This icon will likely be available when the Find My Device network launches this summer. In this way, Google will allow you to view the location of tags and headsets, as well as mobile devices. The app will guide you when a device is nearby with an audio playback feature.
