Cameron: “I suspected disaster”
Titanic was engraved in the history of cinema when it was released in 1997, starring Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio. The director, James Cameron, who provided this, actually dived 33 times into the wreckage of the sunken Titanic. Cameron, in a statement, said that he was on a ship on Sunday when the submarine disappeared and did not hear about it until Monday. When he learned that the submarine had lost both navigation and communication at the same time, he said he immediately suspected a disaster.
“I felt what happened to my bones. The submarine’s electronics broke down, the communication system broke down, and the tracking transponder broke down at the same time… I understood what happened to the submarine.”
As soon as Cameron heard the news, he immediately called some of his contacts in the deep-sea community, and within an hour I learned the following facts. Cameron said that communication with the submarine was cut off as it descended from 3500 meters to the bottom of 3800 meters. Noting that both communication and navigation were cut off at the same time, Cameron said, “You can’t lose both at the same time without a catastrophic event, it must be a high-energy disaster. The first thing that came to my mind was an implosion.”
“Terrible irony”
Pieces of Titan found
Authorities stated that the submarine parts found were the result of a “disastrous explosion” and emphasized that the wreckage of the Titanic of the accident was detected 478 meters from the tip. It was stated that the crew lost their lives in milliseconds without feeling anything under the incredible pressure conditions at this depth of the ocean.
