New information has been shared about the development process of Super Şimşek, the advanced and faster version of the high-speed target aircraft Şimşek. Super Lightning is counting the days for its first flight.

Super Şimşek will make its first flight in the coming days, depending on the suitability of the air and shooting range. Announcing that they expect it to be ready for duty in September this year, TUSAŞ Tactical UAV Product Chief Engineer Özgür Sayın said, “This summer will be a bit busy for us. We will run tests to validate our flight tests and autopilot software over the summer. It seems very likely that the platform will be ready by September.” said.

Super Şimşek will be kicked out of ANKA-3 and AKSUNGUR. Just like warplanes and unmanned aerial vehicles, it will fly at high altitudes and at high speeds, deceiving air defense systems. In addition, a version with offensive ammunition will also be developed. It will reach speeds of 0.8-0.9 mach and have a range of over 700 kilometers.
