Afterwards, he shared the article in which the accounts were explained, saying, “To prevent hunger in 2022, 6.6 billion dollars is needed”.
According to the shared account, a total of $6.6 billion will be used for 42 million people in 43 countries across Africa in general, Latin America and the Caribbean, and Southeast and Central Asia, as follows:
- $3.5 billion will be used for food and food delivery.
- $2 billion will be used to issue cash and food vouchers where grocery stores can operate.
- $700 million will be used to design, scale up and implement efficient and effective programs for millions more tons of food transfers, cash transfers and coupons adapted to domestic conditions and operational risks in 43 countries.
- $400 million will be used for regional operations management and administration.
